| After a comfortable night in the Helensborough Motor Lodge in Balclutha, we set off for a day's touring in the Catlins. We gradually proceeded west, ending up just beyond Owaka, before turning back for Balclutha. The only disappointment was Owaka, where neither of the two cafes were open mid-morning or mid-afternoon. |
