| First thing in the morning we drove from Franz Josef to Fox Glacier where, after a quick breakfast, we walked up to the glacier. The weather closed in rapidly, so it was just as well we went in the morning. It then bucketed down all afternoon, and we took shelter in our motel room in Franz. (Fortunately, the rain stopped in the evening, and so I did not get too wet going out for the take away pizzas). |
