| In the morning we checked out of our delightful hotel in Quarto d'Altino, and took a short drive to the remains of the Roman city of Altinum. The small museum was packed with inetresting exhibits, and when we asked about looking at the visible remains outside, we were taken on a personal guided tour of the area. Excellent! It will be worth another visit when the new much larger museum opens. After that we had a delightful lunch in a random village, before getting our flight home in the afternoon. |
