| Friday 21st was, sadly, our last day on Islay. However, it was a truly memorable day - after a dull start we had a day of glorious warm sunshine. We spent the middle of the day walking round, and picnicking on, the headland on the west of Loch Gruinart, with spectacular views north to Colonsay and Mull (in the distance). As well as the expected seals and choughs, we had a wonderful view of an otter swimming past and then climbing out on a rock to eat its lunch. |
