| We drove to Marloes during Sunday August 1st. We had a pleasant but brief picnic lunch stop at Cefn Onn Country Park near Cardiff, followed by a long and very pleasant tea break stop at Llyn Llech Owain Country Park between Swansea and Carmarthen (just off the A48). This is highly recommended - the adventure playground was great (Elliot and Nathan had a wonderful time), and there is a pleasant cafe and clean toilets, not forgetting the park itself. After arriving in Marloes just after 4, we walked through the village down to Musslewick Sands, the nearest beach. However, we didn't make it right down to the beach as it looked rather tricky and the tide was coming in. We then retired to The Lobster Pot in Marloes for supper. |
